Sheela J. Kinhal, MS, PMP, CISM, CISA

Sheela is a senior technology professional with over 18 years of progressive industry experience. She is a certified PMP (Project Management Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), and CISA (Certified Information Security Auditor). She has worked with several clients in defense, commercial, and biomedical/biotechnology sectors.

Sheela has deep subject matter expertise in program management for system deployments and integrations, data privacy and governance (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT, and COSO), cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance initiatives (e.g. SOX404, PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR). She is experienced in SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile development methodologies.

Sameer B. Shah, Ph.D.

Sameer directs a cross-disciplinary, translational biomedical research program at UCSD that investigates neuromuscular injury, disease and repair. Building on over 20 years of experience in bioengineering and cell biology, his research program has been continuously funded by multiple federal agencies for over 12 years.

Beyond forming many productive academic partnerships, Sameer has developed successful relationships with industry partners. His roles have included scientific advisory services, biomedical device design, lab-based pre-clinical testing, and small business grant-writing. He looks forward to continued engagement with the Southern California biomedical device and biotech communities.
